Base salary: $52,000+ depending on experience and responsibilities

Position Overview:
Ka-Comm, Inc. is seeking a motivated and skilled Sales Representative to help deliver cutting-edge communication and public safety equipment to our customers. This includes two-way radios, dispatch consoles, emergency lighting, sirens, and more. The ideal candidate will have experience or interest in law enforcement communication equipment and a technical background.
In addition to sales, this role includes daily oversight of the Oklahoma City office, ensuring smooth operations and support for our team and customers.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct personal visits and service calls with potential and existing customers to showcase our equipment and services

Ensure the Oklahoma City office runs smoothly, including mail handling and internal sales support

Schedule overnight travel for trade shows and customer events

Maintain accurate records for sales and administrative purposes

Follow company rules, policies, and procedures

Essential Requirements:

Valid driver’s license

Experience with public safety equipment preferred

Ability to operate a laptop, QuickBooks, and other sales tools

Strong reading, writing, and communication skills

Ability to read plans and interpret customer specifications

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Ability to meet schedules and deadlines

Knowledge & Skills:

In-depth understanding of Ka-Comm, Inc.’s products and services

Knowledge of applicable codes and safety regulations

Experience navigating client needs and providing solutions

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

Work occurs both indoors and outdoors, sometimes around machinery with moving parts

Drive a company vehicle as needed

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and maintain energy for a 10-hour workday

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and co-workers

Position Function:

Ability to install RF communication equipment to include mobile radio units, antennas, video recording systems, mobile data systems, in vehicles and businesses.
Working knowledge of vehicle 12-volt electronics preferred. General knowledge and ability to work around different make and models of vehicles.
Lead-ability to work with new Installation Technicians to teach skills and show the most efficient way to accomplish tasks.
Ability to communicate with customer on changes and issues
Ability to order all equipment and work with internal personnel with equipment
Primary duties:

E=Essential Functions
Install, diagnose, program, and repair various analog and digital communication equipment (E)
Use a variety of test equipment for repairs and programming needs (E)
Operate personal hand and power tools. Some tools will be provided by Ka-Comm (E)
Determine material needs, and order materials for the maintenance or replacement of equipment or systems. (E)
Complete all required service paperwork and records and submit to appropriate personnel in a timely manner (E)
Respond to emergency repair needs (E)
The ability to travel and assist with other offices is preferable. Travel can vary but is an expectation. Up to 33% of position. (E)
Minimum Qualifications:Education and Experience:

High School Graduate/GED. Post high school electronic education/training preferred. On the job experience may substitute for post High School training
License and other requirements:

Possession of hand tools common to the trade to include-wire crimpers-Multi meter-Ability to solder
Possession of a valid Drivers License-Must pass Driver license check for insurability
Knowledge and abilities:
Knowledge of :

Materials, tools and methods common to the trade
Applicable codes and safety regulations
Reading and writing communications skills
Additional requirements include:

Read plans and interpret customer specifications
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
Meet schedules and timelines
Maintain daily records
Follow Ka-Comm. Inc. rules, regulations policies and procedures
The opportunity to climb towers is available. There is additional compensation for any tower climbs over 50ft.
Climbing less than 50ft is part of the basic job function. This duty is not an essential function of the job. If you do not have the ability to climb or do not feel comfortable with this task, it does not affect our decision for the position.
Opportunity to travel (weekly only) to earn additional money on top of base pay.

Physical requirements
Strength and energy to maintain a daily work schedule up to 10 hours per day involving driving; physical lifting up to 50lbs with assistance; ability to communicate with customers and co-workers; sitting or standing for extended periods of time; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; kneeling; bending at the waist and reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally, to make repairs lifting heavy objects.

Position Function:

Ability to troubleshoot RF communication system equipment to include mobile radio units, antennas, video recording systems, mobile data systems, in vehicles and businesses. The ability to work in PSAP 911 centers and tower sites to coordinate and solve technical issues. This can include hooking up special industry test equipment for RF communications testing.
Primary duties:
